What is the difference between your Deep Clean and Move-in/Out Clean appliance cleaning?
Deep Clean (Detailed Cleaning of Appliances):
A Deep Clean also involves cleaning appliances, but the scope is generally more focused on restoring cleanliness to areas that aren’t regularly cleaned in standard maintenance cleaning.
Here’s what it includes:
- Standard appliance cleaning: The main focus is on removing built-up dirt and grime on the surface of the appliance (like the exterior of the fridge, stove, or microwave).
- Interior cleaning: The deep clean includes appliance interiors, it’s usually focused on basic cleaning, such as wiping down the inside of the fridge or stove, without a deep scrub. For instance, cleaning crumbs in the microwave or wiping down shelves inside the fridge but without taking out the drawers, taking out food, or doing a detailed deep-cleaning.
- Surface-level cleaning: For items like the oven or stovetop, the deep clean would typically focus on cleaning the surface area (such as scrubbing off grease or wiping down the microwave’s exterior) rather than detailed cleaning of every part or corner inside the appliance.
The difference in appliance cleaning between a Deep Clean and a Move-In/Move-Out Clean is that Move-In/Move-Out Cleanings include a much more thorough appliance cleaning—with more focus on getting the appliances thoroughly clean inside and out, and sanitizing the surfaces.
Move-In/Move-Out Clean (Detailed Cleaning of Appliances):
A Move-In/Move-Out Clean focuses on getting the home ready for the next occupants, so appliance cleaning is typically much more thorough and extensive because the goal is to ensure everything is pristine for the new tenants or owners.
Here’s what it includes:
- Inside and outside of appliances: The focus is on deep cleaning all parts of the appliance, including behind and beneath them (such as the back of the refrigerator or oven).
- Cleaning interior surfaces: For appliances like the fridge, oven, and microwave, this includes cleaning out food spills, grease, and grime that has built up over time.
- Cleaning appliance components: Items like oven racks, microwave trays, and refrigerator shelves are scrubbed, sanitized, and wiped clean.
- Degreasing: A deep clean of the stovetop (especially if it’s greasy) and cleaning areas like the vent hood (which may be covered in grease).
- Disinfection: The insides of refrigerators and ovens are not only cleaned but sanitized, especially in areas that may harbor bacteria, like the vegetable drawers in a fridge.
This service is often needed for move-out (to leave the space spotless for the next tenant) or move-in (to ensure the appliances are clean and sanitary before using them).
